About our coffee

Because we believe that customer service must come first, we looked for a supplier that would custom roast, blend, and flavor coffees to satisfaction. We were happily surprised to find such a supplier a short distance from our offices. So, we can offer quality service and desirable special blends and flavors. Our dedication to customer satisfaction begins with the freshest and finest arabica beans from around the world. Our varieties are selected for their distinctive characters, rich taste and enticing aromas. Coffee drinkers also prefer arabica beans for their smoother taste and lower caffeine content with half of the caffeine and acids of robusta beans commonly used by large coffee roasting operations.

We do things a little differently than renown commercial manufacturers, who use a quick-roast process, ten times faster than ours, that often scorches the beans, burns away the natural oils and leaves tar or carbon deposits. The chaff, or beanskin, is typically added back as filler. The beans are water-quenched in a step that saves the manufacturer time but promotes oxidation and reduces shelf life.

Perfection, of course, takes time. We roast our beans in small batches of no more than 26 pounds. And we assure consistency by combining advanced computer technologies with the best of old world methods.

Our Roast Master never exposes the beans to direct flame. Instead, he carefully slow-roasts each batch, taking the beans to the peak of perfection. The chaff is completely removed. Finally, the beans are air-cooled, never water quenched, to preserve freshness.

All our coffees are freshly roasted within 48 hours after each order. Orders ship within 48 hours after roasting, packaged in a variety of containers that keep coffee fresh.

Members of the club receive freshly roasted coffee shipped to them at regular intervals (monthly,bi-monthly,weekly,etc.). Some members custom order their favorite flavors to be delivered to them, while others choose to receive our flavor of the month. Join the Coffee of the Month Club.
